Round 5 Wrap – Australian Darts Iso Challenge

After five rounds of high quality darts from Australia’s top 6 Grand Prix ranked players, the line up for Monday night’s semi finals are set.

Aaron Morrison got off to a blistering start in the final qualifying round, solidifying his place in the top 4 with a 5-1 victory over Queensland’s Jeremy Fagg.

In the top of the table clash it was Mal Cuming who returned to his winning ways after his round 4 defeat at the hands of Morrison on Saturday night.

The Victorian emerged victorious over Peter Machin 5-2 to finish in first position on the leaderboard. Machin – who entered the evening with internet issues – won’t have to wait long for a rematch – with the pair set to meet in Monday’s first semi final clash.

To conclude the evening Victorian Justin Thompson trailed 2-4 in his match up with Stuart Coburn. Thompson managed to click into gear, winning the last three legs to clinch the win 5-4.

Cuming will meet Machin who finished in fourth place in the first semi final, while Thompson will do battle against the third placed Morrison in semi final 2.

The two semi final winners will advance to the final and play off for the ultimate glory of being crowned Australian Darts Iso Challenge champion.
