Round 4 Wrap – Australian Darts Iso Challenge

The Australian Darts Iso Challenge continued on Saturday as the race to Monday’s finals intensified for the six competitors.

To open round 4 Victorian Justin Thompson whitewashed Queensland’s Jeremy Fagg, 5-0. It was the second consecutive win for Thompson who remains in the hunt for a finals opportunity.

South Australia’s Peter Machin returned to the winners list defeating Victorian Stuart Coburn 5-2. The victory ensured Machin remains in second place on the points table heading into the final qualification round on Sunday.

In the tightest match of the evening South Australian Aaron Morrision ended the unbeaten run of Mal Cuming.

Morrison trailed 2-4 but fought back to clinch the victory 5-4 in the ninth leg – keeping his finals hopes alive ahead of round 5 on Sunday.

On the points table after Round 4 Mal Cuming and Peter Machin lead the way on 6 points, followed by Justin Thompson and Aaron Morrison on 4 points.

Round 5 of the Australian Darts Iso Challenge continues on Sunday 24 May – culminating with the finals on Monday 25 May.
