Round 3 Results – ISO Challenge 3
First match of the night Jeremy Fagg v Mal Cuming . Jeremy took a 2 /0 lead going into the third leg . Both Players threw 180 in the first 2 legs and Jeremy also threw another in the third leg which he took pegging 88. This gave him a 3/0 lead going into the fourth Leg and taking a 4/0 lead going into the 5th Leg .Mal needed 40 to keep the match alive and he pegged it in one dart . Match now 4/1 to Jeremy going into the 6th leg. The 6th leg went to Mal with a 61 peg . Score now 4/2 to Jeremy. The 7th leg saw Mal peg out to bring the Match to 4/3 .Mal pegged to make the match 4/4 in the final leg . Jeremy took the 9th to take the Match 5/4 . Good fight back by Mal but it was not to be . Match could have gone either way certainly an entertaining match.
Second match of the night saw Tori Kewish take on Gordon Mathers . Tori was looking for her first win .Gordon took the first leg . Gordon put a 180 on the board in second leg.Second leg went to Gordon not without Tori having a shot at 122 to leave 25 and put the pressure on Gordon to peg. Gordon took the 3rd leg and went to a 3/0 lead going into the 4th leg.Gordon moved to a 4/0 lead going into the 5th leg . Tori took the 5th leg to keep in the match. With Gordon only needing one leg to take the match Tori put the pressure on with some brilliant darts . Gordon pegged to take the match .
Third Match of the night saw Peter Machin & Justin Thompson to the oche for the final match of the night. This should be the a great match between these two Australia Representative team mates. .First leg went to Peter on 60 . Peter threw a 180 in the leg . Justin took the scores to 1/1 on a 96 peg . Another 180 for Peter in the 3rd leg. The 3rd leg went to Peter on 56 and took the lead 2/1 going into the 4th leg. Peter went into a 3/1 lead going into the 5th leg of the match . Peter added another 180 in this leg to bring his tally to 3 so far . The 5th leg went to Peter to give him a 4/1 lead . Another 180 by Peter now has 4. Justin came back with a 180 . Peter pegged to take the match 5/1 . It was certainly a great performance by Peter .
