He served as President of the Canberra Darts Association and the ACT Darts Council for 16 years, from 1968 to 1984.
McMenamin’s influence extended beyond Australia. He was President of the Australasian Darts Council from 1976 to 1980 and played a crucial role in the World Darts Federation (WDF). He served as the WDF’s vice-president for four years and then as president for 19 years. His contributions were instrumental in promoting and organizing darts on a global scale.
