We’re fresh off a weekend packed full of action, as Club Forster played host to the NSW Great Lakes Open as well as Boys and Girls WDF Youth Singles events.
Here is a full recap of results from Saturday and Sunday:
The Great Lakes Open took place on Sunday the 5th of March, with Singles and Doubles events being held on the day.
The Men’s singles event was won by Dave Marland, who defeated Craig Scarfe in the final. The rest of the top-eight was made up by Matt Mullen, Robbie King, Jerry Weyman, Josh Kime, Royce Faulkner, and Mitchell Clegg.
Melina Van Den Kieboom took out the victory in the Ladies event, defeating Sara Howie in the final. Sarah Harrison, Katrina McNaught, Michele Hall, Melissa Harrison, Amanda Palka, and Emily Austin rounded out the top-eight.

In fine form, singles runner-up Craig Scarfe also made it to the final in the Doubles event, this time teaming up with Jerry Weyman to defeat Robbie King and Chris Krabbe for the win.
Leanne Clegg and Monica Ribeiro paired up to take out the victory in the Ladies Doubles event, defeating Sarah Harrison and Melissa Harrison in the final.
On Saturday, one of our Junior Selection Squad Members, Jack Spencer claimed the win in the Boys WDF Youth Singles event, defeating Zane Kilroy in the final.

Finally, the Girls WDF Youth Singles event saw Faith Kainuku take out the win, defeating Lillian Robinson in the final.

It was a fantastic weekend overall, with many players performing brilliantly in their respective events.
