Darts Australia would like to inform its members, the darting community, sponsors and supporters of the changes to the calendar due to the global Covid-19 Pandemic.
- The Senior Australian Championships due to be held at the Rich River Golf Club from August 2-8 has been postponed. A new date will be announced very shortly subject to the Australian Government Health restrictions.
- The Australian Open Darts Tournament due to be held at the Moama Bowling Club from July 28th-1st August has been postponed. It is the intention to stage this wonderful tournament later in the year and we are working with the venue, sponsors and the World Darts Federation to secure a suitable date and offer all players the opportunity of participating in this seasonal tournament .
We will bring you further updates based on the advice we receive from the Australian Federal and State Governments and the Department of Health.
As most of you are aware The Darts Victoria Classic,The Geelong Dart Club Classic and the Murray Bridge Anzac Weekend are unable to take place due to existing restrictions placed on events as we as a nation try to protect each other and minimise the spread of this insidious virus.
The Board of Darts Australia will always put the health and welfare of the community above all else and rest assured that we will not be idle during this period and will be working with the States and Territories to ensure that the Sport continues to thrive when the arrows start to fly once again all over the country .
Stay tuned for a range of new initiatives and updates as we look forward to the future and above all stay safe, keep your loved ones safe and together we will get through this challenging period.
