Mal Cuming says he’s looking forward to tonight’s Iso Challenge finals series where he’s set to meet Queensland’s Jeremy Fagg in the second semi final.
On Sunday night the Victorian defeated Peter Machin 5-0 to solidify his place in the finals and finish in second place on the final points table.
Asked about his strong victory over fellow finalist in Machin, Cuming said he’s eager to carry that form into tonight.
“Last night was a good indicator of my form, I feel I played well against Peter, probably my best this entire Challenge,” he said.
“I’m now really looking forward to tonight against Jeremy Fagg, he’s no easy opponent, a real tough player and I must take all opportunities that come my way.”
The Queenslander got the better of Cuming 5-2 in their round 3 clash on Friday night, and Cuming is well aware of the tough assignment in front of him.
“It won’t be an easy feat, but I’m hoping that my form stays and I’m in with a shot to beat Jeremy – and progress to the final against either Justin [Thompson] or Peter [Machin],” he added.
