Carter and Pusey emerge victorious at West Coast Classic

The West Coast Classic was won and run at the Vasto Club, Balcatta over the weekend.

58 pairs were in action on Saturday’s doubles events, as a total of 93 competitors contested in the singles events on Sunday.

In the ladies open singles draw it was Natalie Carter who defeated Dot McLeod, 5-0, to take out the championship.

While over in the men’s open singles competition, Tim Pusey prevailed over Dave Burke, 6-2, to take home the trophy.

The teams of Peter Sutton and Clifton Beauchamp (men’s open doubles) and Natalie Carter and Ursula Bennell (ladies open doubles) were triumphant in Saturday’s doubles events.

For Carter is was her first of two trophies, in what was a very successful weekend on the boards.
