2023 South Australian State Championships – Recap

The 2023 South Australian State Championships took place over the weekend at the Murray Bridge Dart Club. Here is a full recap of results.

The Men’s Singles event was won by Karl Schaefer, who defeated Gary Kennedy in the final. Lyn Morrison ousted Kym Mitchell in the final to take out the victory in the Ladies Singles.

While they were opponents in the singles event, Lyn and Kym teamed up to take out the win in the Ladies Doubles event, defeating Sue Pritchard and Melita Ford.

The Men’s Doubles event was also won by singles winner Karl Schaefer, who teamed up with Kevin Young to defeat Scott Hallett and Zaine Skelton.

The Men’s Fours event was won by Danny Porter, Scott Hallett, Trent Mitchell, and Zaine Skelton, while the Ladies Fours event was won by Jules Taylor, Melita Ford, Sue Pritchard, and Kylee Tucker.

Abbey Morrison also secured the highest peg of the whole weekend, with what was her maiden 170 peg in competition.
